This item is used to record weight and also for ergonomics for design of fuselage body.
Variable Pilot Weight and Height:
The following is based on the generality that the weight varies with height.

Tall heavy person |
The tops of the pedals are rotated forward. The front of the seat is raised. |
|
|
Short light person |
The tops of the pedals are rotated rearward. The seat back is extended forward. |
The above means that a lower pilot weight will be somewhat offset by a longer moment arm.
