Note these ar the symbols that I am going to use, The old NTN symbols in the current FORM: PT - Bevel Gear Forces are different, but may be changed.

Arrow Standard Spiral Bevel Gears:

20º Pressure angle [φ]

35º Spiral angle [ψ]

All pinions are left-hand spiral. Left-hand teeth incline away from the axis in the counterclockwise direction when an observer looks at the face of the gear.

Direction of Rotation:

The direction of the pinion (driver) rotation should be viewed from the pinion back.

I believe that most engines rotate CCW when looking at the output shaft. This means that the pinion will turn CW.

High Ratio:

Is there a manufacture that produces spiral bevel gears with a ratio of 4:1 or larger?
The diametral pitch will be 12 or 10 and it will be preferred if they are Aerospace quality.
