Item 1237

DESIGN: Dragonfly ~ Rotor - Disk - Autorotation

Notes:

High inertia blades plus the offset rotor hinges, in conjunction with centrifugal force, should help resist the dropping of the nose during loss of power.

High inertia blades, a low disk loading and a rotor governor may allow for safe, unmodified vertical autorotations.

Concern:

Will the cutout be so large that it will be detrimental to the driving region, which provides the power to the rotor?
