• The plan view etc. of the blade will be dependant on what the mu at the tip of the advancing blade will be.
• Increasing the chord by 1 or 2" at the tip of the blade will;
• Give greater lift without increasing the current maximum chord.
• Allow the torque tube to have a larger diameter and be able to apply more torque.
• Concern; The wrapping of all the spar's tows over the root pins will result in an excessive length on the span axis at the location of the bearings.

1. Consider having two separate 'wrappings' of the spar, perhaps with a small filament count 90º spiral wrap between the two. The centrifugal effect is reduced because of the slower RRPM therefor the inner wrap can contribute to in-plane and out-of-plane strength without having to go over the root pins and contribute resisting the centrifugal effect. The outer layer will wrap over the pins.
2. Consider angling the pins (bolts) slightly outward from the x-axis.

• Any unwanted twisting of the skin between the root and the tip is resisted (effectively - one hopes) by;
• the elastomeric.
• the unidirectional leading and the trailing edges of the skins.
