3,729,272, Reverse Velocity Rotor and Rotorcraft, Lemont, April 24, 1973. ~ Have hard copy.

This patent appears to talk about reverse twist. It also talks about two/revolution control (HHC), which I believe will do little to improve L/D, particular when compared to the independent 1/per in OTHER: Aerodynamics - Rotor Concept - Independent Root and Tip Control.

3,924,965, Reverse Velocity Rotor and Rotorcraft, Lemont-RVR, Dec 9, 1975. ~ Have hard copy.

This patent appears to talk about reverse twist.

The above two patents entail negative pitch on the retreating side over the full span of the blade. This is fine when the craft has an μ =< 1, but what about when the μ < 1 and only a percentage of the blade is experiencing reverse velocity? After aI superficial review, I question whether this idea will work.

4,227,856, Reverse velocity rotor system for rotorcraft. Verrill , et al. October 14, 1980 ~ Have hard copy.

This patent and the ones that it references (including 3,729,272 above) appear to be only Higher Harmonic Control.

4,248,572 Helicopter Blade. United Technologies Corporation. February 3, 1981

A cambered helicopter blade having a swept and tapered tip, and having linear twist throughout the outer 70 percent of the blade span and nonlinear twist inboard thereof.
