The Objective:

A VTOL aircraft that is aerodynamically efficient because it generates low velocity thrust from a large disk area during hover and high velocity thrust from a small disk area during cruise.

To aerodynamically reduce the EFFECTIVE total disk area of a PropRotor in cruise by 50% from its PHYSICAL total disk area in hover. Thereby creating a quad PropRotor VTOL craft that has;

A greater figure of merit in hover then current tilt-rotors, and
A faster speed in cruise then current helicopters, and likely faster than current tilt-rotors.
