Notes:
When comparing the allowable torque and weights of overrunning clutches gears and 2-stroke engines it is apparent that a doubling of the allowable torque results in a near doubling of the weight. Any discrepancy in this ratio will be offset by the elimination of electric starter, battery and wiring that is not needed for single cylinder engines. The cost ratio of twice as many half-size parts may also hold, because of quantity discounting. See also ~
