Dragonfly ~ Control - Power Train

Note:

All of the below is currently SynchroLite, with the exception of the following section entitled [Dragonfly Specific].

Dragonfly Specific:

Rotor Brake:

This might be a band brake system working on a drum that is attached to the X-shaft. The drum would be located between the primarily reduction and the final reduction, possibly on the opposite side to the overrunning clutch. It would be located in open air inside the triangular X-frame. It might be operated by the pilot reaching back behind and to the side of his head and setting a Destaco type clamp.

DESIGN:

 SynchroLite ~ A060

MAKE:

 SynchroLite ~ A038

Secondary Grouping:

Assembly:

Final assembly of the sub-components listed below.

Throttle & Correlator:

There may be a secondary sub correlator on the collective lever to control load balancing?.

Engine Synchronization:

To minimize engine induced vibrations. [0746 is the currently preferred one]

Engine Load Balancing:

Load sharing between the 2 engines.

FADEC:

Maybe in the future. Work with [Governor], [Engine Load Balancing] & [Engine Synchronization] for now.

Starter:

Manual pull cord on each engine.

Engine Kill:

Rotor Brake:

ref. Soft-Start:

Soft-Start is located in [Power Train] because a centrifugal clutch is proposed, and if used it would not be considered a Control - Power Train.

ref: Governor:

Located in Control - Flight. Automatic control of the rotor speed by varying engine power or collective pitch.
