Tank: |
|
1. The location of the tank should probably be behind the seat back.
2. It might consist of two side-by-side tanks.
3. The tanks could be portable.
4. Consider having the tanks larger than 2.5 gallons but configured so that they are limited to 2.5 gallons, unless modified.
5. The tanks should continue the shape of the fuselage for aerodynamics and aesthetics.

Vent: |
I can also attest to the positive benefit of Ralph Taggart's suggestion to route the opening of the vent below the bottom of the tank. I didn't loose a drop of fuel while my gyro was upside down. Since the vent line is secured to the airframe (to keep it out of the prop), it features a valved quick disconnect in order to remove the fuel tank. |
