Power Train - Shock AbsorberOverview:
To minimize the torsional spike generated by the engine and to isolate the engine's vibration from the power train.

Rough Notes:
Consider combining the Soft Start and the Vibration Absorber in the same device.

|
Consider the Rexnord Omega E4. It is tortionally soft and handles misalignment. The E4 is only rated for 46 lb-ft. but this might be OK. It weighs 3+ lbs but perhaps some of this can be machined out. |

Consider a torque tube (plus flexible couplings at the ends) if there is a desire to get the engine lower and/or further back. This might be particularly true if a Hirth 'H' engine was being considered.
