Tank: |
|
The location the fuel tank has not yet been finalized.
This should allow for a roughly 24" wide by 6" deep by 18" high (1.5 sq-ft) 'baggage' compartment directly behind the seat.
It would appear that on larger helicopters the fuel tank can only be filled to 70% of its total capacity. This is done for crash worthiness.
And more:
Consider locating a small upper tank in the booms or around the mid transmission. This tank(s) will provide gravity feed to the carburetor. A fuel pump will provide fuel from the main tank, located at the base of the bulkhead, to the upper tank. The pump will be alarmed.

Gascolator: |
|
Strainer or gascolator must be located at lowest part of system. This will probably be at the base of the firewall (bulkhead) on the engine side.

Notes:
If the helicopter were to be made aerobatic, then there must be the ability to draw fuel from the tank in all orrentations.
